illustration masterpiece
I'm always amazed by the creativity of Kat Macleod and her beautiful illustrations/collages. From NYC plastic bags, to gorgeous fabrics and watercolours, they create such beautiful artworks which you can now purchase. As seen in Vogue Entertaining & Travel, these beautiful editions are printed on Museo Max (a deluxe heavy weight 300 gsm , cream coloured, slightly textured stock). Each print is signed and numbered by Kat and embossed with Pharos Editions chop in limited edition of 50. They would look lovely on any wall, and would be a fabulous gift. Georgie, I hope you're not looking at this! They can be bought through Lamington Drive.

blog love
Whilst cruising in my morning inspiration round of blogs, I've discovered a great new blog, distillate. Best of all its Australian! These gorgeous stamps caught my eye, I have a bit of an obsession with stamps.
They're called 'honesty' stamps and include titles such as 'I know it's been difficult in the past to say these words but I LOVE YOU' as well as the 'In all my life I've never met anyone as beautiful as you' (for a bit of a lift in your day!). They're available from Dede Ce

Chanel no.5 (sigh)
This is the new ad/mini film for Chanel No.5 featuring Audrey Tatou directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet. The scenery, cinematography, outfits are simply breath taking. Takes me back to our recent trip in Paris, the old stations and trains (sigh!). Watch it here
elki website is launched!
Hoorah hoorah - our website elki is finally up and running! its very exciting, after many hours of html nightmares, everything is looking a-ok. Our online store will be up within the next month (just a few more tweaks to the design). So just a few more weeks and then everyone can buy, buy, buy!
If you have any comments about our products or just want to say 'hi', I would love to hear from you and what you think.

Etsy love
By George, I think we've found it! Yes, this has done the rounds and rounds of blogs, but I'm still in love with the 'Keep Calm' signs. Maybe its a reminder of my British grandparents, never one's to overact or 'show too much emotion'!
The posters originated in the spring of 1939 when a looming war with Germany was on everyone's mind. The British Government's Ministry of Information commissioned a series of propaganda posters to be distributed throughout the country upon the outbreak of war.
The posters were initially printed to send a soothing message from King George VI to reassure his people that all capable measures to defend the country were being taken.
Its also kind of appropriate as well in these times. Nothing like a bit of a British (stiff lip) 'Hoorah'!
Check out this great Etsy store: By Order of the Crown (great name!) and order your 'Keep Calm' print today. Available in so many colours, its hard to pick which one, but I'm liking the Metallic Silver and the Royal Navy.

delicious packaging
I've always been a huge fan of MOR cosmetics, and its no surprise to see these beautiful packaging and product designs from their new product range 'Nordica'. I would hate to use the soap and ruin the intricate design, rather keep it on display!
Liberty love
Over the past week, I've come across so many examples of people using Liberty of London fabrics again. The soft and feminine prints are popping up everywhere - maybe its the nostalgia of the prints that help us create our little own pretty haven from the rest of the world? I've just picked out a few images, but if you see any more images - email me, I would love to see them.
This great shot was taken by Corrie Bond I love that bikini, might may one for myself!
Gorgeous cotton panties from dearbirthday at etsy
Pretty little hair clips from Tamar at Etsy
Very cute bikini from Jcrew - I just LOVE this site, if only they shipped to Australia. Please excuse the revoltingly gorgeous body at this time of the morning - it doesn't help when I'm sitting here with a coffee and croissant!
let me know if you see any other examples of Liberty prints.

its sewing time!
After getting a little distracted from organising my wedding (and also being a bridesmaid to one of my friends), and many months of deliberation on fabric choices and patterns, the sewing and production is in full swing. I'm still creating the website, but just wanted to share a few little images we've taken for the site.
